Joe Wicks, founder of outdoor fitness and circuit training bootcamp Rumble in the Park (rumbleinthepark.com) reveals his top three tips for exercising outdoors.
1 Short on time? Up the intensity
Find a hill and do some hill sprints. HIIT (high-intensity interval training) will burn double the calories in half the time and your cardio fitness will go through the roof. Sprint up, walk down.
2 Pack a punch!
Stressed out after a long old day in the office? Invest in some pads and boxing gloves and hit the park for a boxing sesh with a pal. You’ll have fun, burn some serious calories and release that inner champion!
3 Hit the bench
Sat on your bum all day? Time to get moving. Get down to the local park for a bench workout. Try this mini-circuit: tricep dips, step-ups, press-ups and mountain climbers. And voila! Hot bod!
