Chitral Child Surviving Programme Achieved Amazing Results

A one-day distribution conference to share results of the final assessment of 5-year Chitral Kid Success Program (CCSP) was organized by the Aga Khan Base (Pakistan) and programme associates Aga Khan Wellness Support, Pakistan (AKHSP) and Aga Khan Non-urban Support Program (AKRSP).
Dr Sahib Gul, provincial manager Expectant mothers, Neonatal and Kid Wellness Program of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was primary visitor on the occasion.



“In the last five decades since its execution, the Chitral Kid Success Program has obtained amazing results in enhancing experienced beginning presence from 33% during 2009 to 82% in 2013, supply of enhanced proper care (continuum of proper care from experienced beginning guests has enhanced from 3% to 15% in 5 years) and accessibility financial solutions for women seeking maternal and neonatal proper care in Chitral,” said Karim Ali Bhai, CEO Aga Khan Base (Pakistan).

Implemented in 28 of the most remote and separated hilly community groups in Chitral region during the period 2008 to 2013, the purpose of the programme was to reduce maternal, neonatal and child death rate and deaths by increasing accessibility and using the obstetric and neonatal procession of proper care in the target areas.
Dr. Sahib Gul valued the participation and success of the programme in enhancing maternal, neonatal and child health position in Chitral.
“The collaboration between the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and Department of Wellness, govt of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been exceptional in many health service areas, such as child immunisation, management of t. b and building up health solutions distribution in three govt health features at Shagram, Mastuj and Garumchashma tehsils of Chitral region through public private collaboration,” he said.
